Eduard Katzke

“KATTE“ born in Namibia, has been wandering Africa`s wild places since childhood. He studied Agriculture and qualified as a Professional Hunter & Outfitter, after completing two years of National Service.  Katte's passion for hunting Big Game and Big Bore rifles led to the founding of the Big Bore Association of Southern Africa (BASA), with whom he served as Founder and Chairman for seven years. He also served as President of the Professional Hunters' Association of South Africa (PHASA) for two years and is currently Head of the South African Delegation for CIC (International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation).

As Owner, Outfitter and Professional Hunter, Katzke Safaris provide outstanding safari hunting services, to suit all Hunters and their individual need, enhancing an unforgettable, African Wildlife Experience.

Katte is based in Kimberley, Northern Cape, where he lives with his wife Elana and two children Elcke and Conduard.

Hentie Fourie

Hentie Fourie

Born and raised in South African, Hentie grew up in a hunting and sport shooting family. His dad, Johan represented South Africa’s National Bisley Team over twenty times. From as little as the age of five years old, he started hunting with his dad, a very well experienced plains game hunter.  He started his Professional Hunting career in 2009, after completing his National Diploma in Nature Conservation and Game Ranch Management at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University. He joined Katzke Safaris in 2010 and under the wing of Katte, Hentie gained top class Big Game Hunting experience and qualified for Dangerous Game Professional Hunter Permits.  He successfully guided foreign clients from all over the world on top class trophies. He is also known by clients and friends as “JD” – Jagd Terrier – ‘Big Heart in a Small Package!’

Amin

Amin

Born in Zimbabwe Amin was at the age of 13 when the "hunting bug" bit and he's deep passion for hunting and wildlife began. This took him on the journey of fulfilling his childhood dream of becoming a professional hunter.

He has been hunting dangerous game for the last 25 years and since obtaining he's Professional Hunters License of Zimbabwe, he has been successfully guiding clients, for the last 14 years. Amin has also been a proud member of the Zimbabwe Professional Hunters and Guides Association (ZPHGA) for the same period of time.

Building, running, operating and marketing he's own safari camps  in the past, provided  him with invaluable experience in the industry and granted him the good fortune of forming many life-long friendships in the process.

He lives in a little town called Marondera, east of Zimbabwe, with he's wife Salma, and four children, who are all keen hunters and conservationists.

Johannes Mokgabu

Johannes Mokgabu

‘Tracker Par Excellence’

Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Johannes had to look after cattle and goat from a very young age. Under the guidance of his father, he was taught skilful tracking, hunting and general maintenance. Johannes has always been involved with and close to Katte.  He was appointed as Main Tracker and Katte’s right-hand-man, resulting in a long lasting relationship, build on absolute trust! He successfully completed his Professional Hunter Course and qualified as General Best Student. Johannes has been to the United States, joining Katte on a marketing trip to Reno, SCI.

With more than 30 years of practical experience and passion for nature and wildlife, his knowledge and skills, are of great value to Katzke Safaris.
